SYLVAN CEMETERY
Catalogued May 29, 1975 by the Sylvan 4-H Club under the direction of
Mrs. Fred Fry. Located along a town road leading north off U. S. 14, a
short distance east of County Trunk U, section 20, Town of Sylvan.
Alternate route from the north and east is by following County Trunk E
east out Sabin, section 13. The cemetery began as a United Brethren
churchyard cemetery but is now regarded as a public burial site. The
church building is presently standing and used for once a month
services. The grounds are in good condition. The first known burial was
in 1862.
