RICHLAND METHODIST CEMETERY

Catalogued June 14, 1975 by Mrs. Robert Storms. Located on the present Julius Dalberg farm in section 12, Town of Richwood. A variety of town roads make up the maze of directions. However, if on County Trunk X, turn eastward at the present Vance farm in section 2 and continue straight ahead in a southeast direction to the church and cemetery. The cemetery began as a Methodist churchyard cemetery. The church still stands but remains open for part-time services. The area's church affiliation was made up of families of Norwegian extraction. The entire ridge was known as Methodist Ridge and will no doubt carry the badge so well hewn by the early settlers. The grounds are in fair condition.  The first known burial was in 1860.
